Led Zep To Play Marquee / US Tour (Press Release)
Notes

Official Press Release: 26th March, 1969

LED ZEPPELIN AT MARQUEE

Led Zeppelin, the most talked about (and raved about) British group of the moment, plays London's famous Marquee Club on Friday night, March 28th.

All eyes are on Led Zeppelin following the fantastic success of their first album (Atlantic 588 171), which in a matter of weeks in America climbed rapidly' into the upper limits of Billboard, Cashbox and Record World charts. This album, entitled simply "Led Zeppelin," was recently released in Britain and seems destined for similar success.

Led Zeppelin features two of Britain's top young musicians; Jimmy Page (guitar) and John Paul Jones (bass, organ) - plus drummer John Bonham and singer Robert Plant.

The group returns to America for a second tour shortly, starting on April 18th, when they will play New York University's Third Annual Jazz Festival, along with Dave Brubeck and Errol Garner. Other dates so far booked on this tour are San Francisco's Fillmore (April 24-27), Los Angeles (May 2,3), Seattle (May 9), Vancouver (May 10), Portland (May 11), Detroit (May 16,17), Minneapolis (May 18), Baltimore (May 23) and New York's Fillmore East.
