September 7, 2013, marks the 45 year anniversary since Led Zeppelin played their very first concert. Now the British rock stars are getting a special plaque right where it all began; in a primary school in Gladsaxe.
Led Zeppelin will receive the inaugural International Lifetime Achievement Award, at the ECHO awards in Berlin, Germany on the 21st March 2013.
Both Jimmy and John Paul will accept the award on behalf of the band. Unfortunately, Robert is unable to attend due to a pre-existing concert on the same night in Singapore.
John Paul, Jimmy and Robert interviewed by Charlie Rose for CBS.
Led Zeppelin catalogue now available. Mastered For iTunes.
Here’s a shot of Jimmy Page with the other participants on last night's edition of Later with Jools Holland @BBCLater, including @Foals, @BandOfHorses, @elliegoulding, Larry Graham, Rodrigues and Louise Sobral.
The show will air on BBC2 on Friday, Nov. 16th at 11:30.
We have been made aware that at some screenings of “Celebration Day”, there have been complaints that the sound is not loud enough. Omniverse, the film’s distributors have been working with local cinema chains to ensure that this issue is addressed urgently. However, it is a good idea to check with the cinema before the screening that they will be playing it loud!
