Hi there I was at the show

Hi there
I was at the show at Portsmouth Guildhall. I was just waiting to start at Art College. It was the first time that I saw them live and I remember that Jimmy had a problem with his amp and guitar, which kept buzzing. Robert Plant apologised and said that they would come back to Portsmouth, but they never did (as far as I know)!
Even so it was inspirational and made me a lifelong follower of the band - and a poor imitator of Jimmy's own unique technique. It still lives with me as one of my top 10 ever gigs ever - raw talent with no backdrop or scenery. I was in a band at the time and we were all there - strangely we changed our style right after this show, but never tried to play a Zepplin song in our set! I think is was because we couldn't stand the thought of destroying it
I loved the shows at this time because you got three great bands on one evening.
