News Report: From the first organ note by Vanilla Fudge to the last wail of a Led Zeppelin guitar, hard rock and blues fans were treated to one of the most exciting shows ever performed in Albuquerque.
Before it was over late Saturday night, much of the audience was dancing in the aisles, on the chairs or near the stage where Jimmy Page’s guitar and Robert Plant voice were screaming the blues of Led Zeppelin.
Most selections performed by the England-based Led Zeppelin were from its first album on Atlantic. Their second LP release on the same label is due soon.
They started with “Can’t Quit You Babe” and moved next into probably their most popular song, Dazed and Confused.
Plant and Page, one of the premier blues guitarists in the world stole the show. Rod Geer - Albuquerque Tribune – 8/4/69
