Bath Open Concert

The best day of my entire life. Hitched with my friend and spent the night in the marquee, borrowing a sleeping bag from 2 guys. When Led Zeppelin came on, I can remember with clarity a guy sitting on the shoulders of someone in front of me with an umbrella and raising and lowering it to the beat. To this day when I play a Led Zeppelin CD, which I still play so often, I can picture this umbrella and the music seemingly riquocheting off the semi circular building behind us. I believe it was one of the first open air concerts and no charge for being there. I am so proud to have been there and even prouder that my children came home one day and told me they had heard this fantastic band and thought Led Zeppelin were their discovery, only to realise their mother had done something they would never get the opportunity to do. I was the 'cool' mother. In the days of the concert, us as the fans would determine how good an artist was, by the quality of the gig and how close it was to the album. Led Zeppelin were the best. I would love to know who the person was with the umbrella and the two guys who loaned my friend and I the sleeping bag and any one else that was present at that concert and their own memories of the best concert I have ever been to.
