Led Zeppelin share the bill with Vanilla Fudge and Jethro Tull for 2 nights in Chicago.

Carmine Appice: "John and I were testing out some new Ludwig stands while playing the Kinetic Playground in Chicago. By the end of the night, we had both broken the stands so we gave them back and said: "They're gonna need  to be a lot stronger, we broke them." You should have seen the look of shock on the faces of the people from Ludwig!"

vanilla fudge concert

My friend and I attended this concert when we were 16 years old. This was an experience that I will never forget. When Jethro tull and led zeppelin performed, I was sitting there thinking is this for real. It was totally awsome. After led zeppelin finished a chicago cop had warned everyone to leave if you did not fit the curfew age. We left, but if i could do it over again I would have stayed and took that chance. Everything was perfect and thankyou to the folks that put this all together.
