Honolulu, HI US

Civic Auditorium (Honolulu)

Setlist:

Songs performed during this period include: Train Kept a Rollin', I Can't Quit You Baby, Dazed and Confused, As Long As I Have You, Killing Floor, White Summer / Black Mountainside, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, You Shook Me, How Many More Times, Communication Breakdown, Pat's Delight

Notes:

Press Review: Led Zeppelin was the first major British rock group to appear in Hawaii and I think most people at the Civic Auditorium last Tuesday night will agree that we want more.

The showmanship exceeded any rock performance here to date. I wondered before the concert if Led Zeppelin could sound as good as their Atlantic album – they sounded better. Honolulu Advertiser, May 1969. (transcription: LZ The Press Reports, 1997).

THE CIVIC AUDITORIUM ........ 1969

HEY, I WAS THERE TOO! BUT I CLIMBED UP A DRAINPIPE AND CLIMB IN A WINDOW ON WHAT SEEMED LIKE THE SECOND STORY. I CAME THRU ON THE INSIDE, AND STEPPED UPON THE BLEACHERS. IT WAS NEAR THE END OF THE CONCERT, AS I CLIMBED UP TWICE, ONCE WITH SOMEONE BEHIND ME CLIMBING THE PIPE OUTSIDE, ANY WAY HE FELL TO THE GROUND. AND I ENDED CLIMBING OUT AND BACK TO THE FALLEN FELLOW. I PUT HIM IN MY V.W. BUG, DROVE HIM TO KAISER HOSPITAL NEAR THE ALA WAI BRIDGE IN WAIKIKI. DROPPED HIM OFF. HE HAD A BROKEN LEG. I SPED BACK TO THE CIVIC. BACK UP THE DRAIN PIPE, AND BACK IN FOR THE LAST 2 SONGS.......................AWESOME
