I was 14 in 1969 and my parents wouldn't let me go to Woodstock so my sister and her boyfirend took me to this show. I had heard LZ and really liked them. The whow started with Buddy Guy. Then Al Kooper. I remember he did I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know. He was playing a Gibson Flying V. Not sure if LZ was next or Johnny Winter. But Zep was great and then Jethro Tull. They were excellent. I went right out and bought This Was. I have a couple of Polaroids from the show which I'll dig up and upload. I also had a small reel to reel tape recorder that I took into the Spectrum (wow how times have changed) but I can't find the tape (arrrgghhh!). Anyway, just went to England this summer and saw Jeff Beck in Brighton and Jimmy Page was sitting 4 seats away from me. Sorry for rambling but I figure if anyone can relate to this it's people reading this blog....cheers...
