UNCONFIRMED SHOW:

October 20, 1969 – Paramount Theatre, Seattle, Washington
A one-off West coast show in Seattle has been on itinerary lists for years.  It is highly unlikely that a single West coast show was played at this point in the tour (and no evidence has ever surfaced).  Plus, the original tour itinerary published in the 10/18/69 edition of Billboard magazine had the band playing in Chicago on 10/19/69, and then not playing again until five days later in Cleveland on 10/24/69.

One thing is for certain.  A Led Zeppelin gig was definitely not played on 10/20/69.  According to New Musical Express journalist June Harris, Zeppelin attended the first night of The Who’s six-night run at the Fillmore East on 10/20 (where they performed their rock opera “Tommy” in its entirety).  After the gig, both bands spent the rest of the night together celebrating at New York City’s Max’s Kansas City club, where Bill Graham of the Fillmore East was throwing a party in honor of The Who.

What does the Paramount say?

Maybe someone at the Paramount Theatre might know whether a show was played there by Led Zeppelin, and where.

Also, the source of this supposed gig might be tracked down, to see where the Venue, Year, and even Date came from (maybe multiple sources).

Let us/me know what you find!
