1971 Houston, Texas concert

I remember this show pretty well. It was awesome-they had a GREAT night. We sat in seats behind the stage- about 5 rows back. They opened with Immigrant Song.

I remember that the show had been postponed by a few days. There was a rumor going around that it was due to the equipment having been left in Portland, Oregon. Early in the show, maybe after the opening set, Robert explained that the rumor about their equipement being left in Portland, Oregon, was "a bunch of rubbish." He then went on to say, that the show had been postponed because his voice had gone out. He had come down with laryngitis. I remember that he was drinking hot tea out of a thermos bottle that evening. His voice held up just fine. Their live performances were, and I still think, are, unsurpassed.
