"The snow drives back the foot that's slow..."

It's hard to believe it's been 34 years to the day that I saw this concert with my three best friends. This is the infamous "Blizzard" show at the Garden. The snow was no problem, because we took the Long Island Railroad into Penn Station. For $10.00,we sat in the old red seats, behind the stage in the first row, There was this sheer screen behind the band with the words "LED ZEPPELIN" lit up in bright lights. Our vantage point was much like the one in" The Song Remains the Same", when they open up with Rock and Roll and the lights first hit them.Anyway, there was Bonzo in his Clockwork Orange outfit driving the band with his usual power and glory. John playing bass and keyboards in his quiet and subdued manner.Robert was in great voice and spoke to the crowd with good humor. The worries about Jimmy's broken finger quickly disappeared as his playing was on the money. For a 15 year old kid from Long Island, this was an amazing experience! The one thing I still take away from this show was the power of it.It was loud, but crystal clear. On this night,as Mr.Page would say, they were "loosely tight."
