Concert description

One of the best, most visceral shows of 1975! The sound is crisp and bassy and really adds to the show. The opening string of numbers is brutal and fast and this may be one of the best versions of No Quarter ever! It is savage and the improvisations are excellent. In My Time Of Dying was dedicated to Bob Dylan: "An old work song. A long time before Mr Zimmerman listened to it in the Village back in the Sixties." The reason why The Song Remains The Same was repeated is that Jimmy Page broke a string. Trampled Underfoot moves like nobody's business and Dazed And Confused, dedictaed tonight to Roy Harper (:Wherever you are Roy, don't stay in thatstate too long!"), is a glorious 1975 version in full flight. An exquisite Stairway To Heaven closes the show and the relentless and surprising inclusions in the encores end a show that seems leagues ahead of the sluggishness of just the night before!
