First visit to London, first

First visit to London, first Zeppelin concert. As I crossed the road to Earls Court some guy shouted to the crowd "Smile you're not going to a fackin' funeral you're gonna see Zeppelin!" Aside to his mate "I'm gonna get myself arrested tonight!" From the first song onwards I smiled. The opening song was "Rock and Roll", which sufferred from a jack plug falling off Jimmy's guitar. I thought well live music's never 100% perfect. How wrong I was. From then onwards I was completely blown away. This was how I thought rock music should sound! Jimmy's guitar solos took me to a new level of consciousness. Bonzo's drum solo was beyond belief echoing off the corrugated iron roof. Robert's vocals were superb. John Paul's bass held the band together tighter than I thought possible, as well as some brilliant keyboards and mandolin during the excellent acoustic set. They were certainly at the top of their game at that point, and I'd love to see them do a tour. Newcastle arena's a great venue or how about St Jame's Park. Think about it guys- we deserve it, and I'm getting too old to go to London!
