Unforgetable

The 6/11/77 show at M S G was something I will always carry with me, just a year out of high school and a Zeppelin fan for many years. A couple of my friends graduating in 77 confronted me one night at a party, with the idea of catching a Zepplin show. Living in northwest Ohio I tried to get Cleveland tickets, but it was a sell out very quickly, so we opted for one of the N Y C shows At that time the tickets were mail order and we kept our fingers crossed untill the tickets finally arrived. What a great day, then it was on, the plans began. None of the three of us were legal to drive, I had to give up my job, due to the fact my boss was not understanding about having the weekend off. That week I bought a car and come Friday morning we were on Interstate 80 headed for N Y City, just hoping to make it there without any legal hassels. Myself I had never been any further than 50 miles from home, so upon arriving in N Y C was such a trip, a weekend I will never forget. The show was great, I beleive only my second concert. Before leaving a coworker told me Zeppelin shows take you to another level and he was right, it was incredable, still after all these years it's hard to find words to describe it, it's one of those things that must be experienced to fully apriciate it. not untill Sunday Morning did I find out my classmates had to be back on Monday to complete some summer classes in order to graduate, well I did get them back a couple hrs prior to class, we spent as much time on the road as we did in the city, but well worth it for the 2 hrs plus of uphoria I experienced at the show. I now try to catch Robert or Jimmy when ever I can, the feeling is so sureal I become so overwhelmed, to the point of tears of joy. I also had the chance to catch Jason's tribute to his father another awesome show. I would really look forward to a U S tour of the reformed Led Zeppelin, I guess only time will tell.
Zep fan forever.....
