Zeppelin in Oakland 7-24-77

I cannot remember too many details about this other than the fact that I was standing there watching my favorite band, almost not believing it was really happening...The pictures I took that day are among my most prized possessions to this day (they have recently been posted on this site)...The crowd definately got its $11.50 worth of entertainment, as Zeppelin played the songs we wanted to hear, the way we wanted to hear them, with Robert Plant's stage presense and Jimmy Page's guitar antics meshing well with John Bohnam's assault of his drum kit and John Paul Jones holding it all together on the bottom end...The highlight of my then 17 year old life...Who knew that it would be the last Zeppelin show on U.S. soil, and they would never be back again...I feel very fortunate to have been there...
