“It was a Saturday night, the night after the 'unknown' Led Zeppelin had been on a UK TV show called How Late It Is. They said this band would be the new Rolling Stones – so me and my friend decided to go and see them.

“It was just a spectacular performance – one I will never forget. The Roundhouse is the equivalent of the Cavern in Liverpool.” - Stuart McCreddie

The support band that night was The Further and possibly also Beggars Farm, another local Dagenham band who used to get support slots around that period.

Remember this pretty well.Sat at table next to stage and robert plant came over and sat on edge of table and had a bit of a chat and a couple of swigs of our pints.almost certain they were billed as new yardbirds. Was my second visit to the village .The previous week saw either Taste(rory) or Spooky tooth.Remember jimmy page had some guitar gizmo that had some sort of ariel attached that he ran his hand up and down.Went straight out and bought the album.

I went there with a friend. I was very much a blues person but thought the right way to go for white groups was Beefheart and not Zeppelin. Not many people there in venue usually a bingo club. Remember the violin string and remember my friend saying that performance sound level was too much, We stepped back,
