I was one of the lucky few who did not have tickets for this concert however I was at the City Hall about half hour before the concert started with loads of other people who did not have tickets and this guy came out and said the first 100 can stand behind the stage for 50p. We were all ushered backstage and took our places on the steps that were then behind the stage. Led Zeppelin played and the view we had of them playing was fantastic we really had the view that the band had of the audience and from start to finish I dont think anyone was seated. It was a memorable night for sure

Another very good low-key show from the beginning of this tour. Rather unusual and interesting medley tonight with nice renditions of I Need Your Love Tonight and For Worth It's Worth.

The aura of Led Zeppelin was unbelievable that night. The atmosphere was electric, and as a15 year old who had skipped school in order to queue for a ticket months before, it all became clear why, when the darkness and the sound of whistling fans as the band took to the stage, was shook with the sudden explosion of sound and light as the band opened with Rock and Roll!

Sitting on the steps of City Hall after the gig, my ears still thick and ringing, waiting for my lift home my dream came alive, when out of the main doors at the front of City Hall appeared Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham to transfer into a limo. I was stepped over and being brushed by the greatest rock and roll band the world is ever likely to see.

This band just captured everything about life for teenagers in the 70's --- it was a special moment in life for many...and will never be the same again.
