French Press Review: NEW EUROPEAN TOUR OF LED ZEPPELIN

Online Translation: What always strikes from Led Zeppelin, the climate created by a rock machine that bursts of power still young and has its moments of poetry and lyricism. Each of the four band members formed here now seven, is in itself an essential part, in determining the originality of Led Zeppelin. And there is in this music as a combination of soul and heart, with a beautiful and vast intelligence technique, whereby most naturally flows from a developed world and rock end, where humor eventually may play a role.

What appears, of course, in the foreground, is dialogue guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Robert Plant. Musician using the latest electro-acoustic discoveries, able to beautifully combine the most delicate melodies with rock "hard" emotionally intense, Jimmy Page has a way of exposing him to the theme, to linger a bit before launching into a discourse where ideas grow each other, where great lyrical movements abruptly gave way to brief crackles, a devastating rampage. The voice and gesture Robert Plant complete to give all an irresistible impression of purity.

Led Zeppelin opened Sunday night at the Forest National in Brussels a European tour that will not pass this year by Paris. The band played a number of songs written for the next album, sometimes giving the impression of trying to get out of the way in which it has so far installed properly reinforced, even if attempts were unsuccessful evident.  [THE WORLD | 17.01.1975  | FLEOUTER CLAUDE]

In january of 1975, I was almost 14y old and hoped to see the Led Zeppelin in Forest-National which was neighbour of my school.
But sad enough, my Dad said 'I don't want my son right in the middle of the drug scene', so I didn't get the permit to leave home that evening & I missed the show...
Now I'm 50y old, that period is far away but I can't forget & each track of the Zep seems to me an arrow against my father!

I was 17 when I saw Zep at the Forest National, having just graduated from ISB.

warm-up show for the US tour and a very experimental and minimal set. This is the complete show, no marathons or improvisations, just the first live performances of the new Physical Graffiti songs. When The Levee Breaks is played live for the first time and sounds actually very good and interesting, and The Wanton Song rocks! The show has some good points, but is an average Zeppelin show that is enjoyable, but nowhere near the nirvana they would reach at the end of the forthcoming tour.

I was 15 in 1975 and living in brussels-it was great! I still have the exact ticket stub from the forrest national venue-in perfect condition.

I too was at that concert, and saw Eric Graf. Remember lying down on the cold concert floor at FN, enjoying Kashmir

I was 15 as well in 1975. Unfortunately I never got to see them live. I just sent this link to a friend of mine who said he saw them in Belgium in 75. It must be this show because they left for the states and did not return to Brussels that year. Does your ticket stub look the same as the one posted on this site.
