I remember them coming out a bit late and Robert Plant said there'd been watching Colditz - they started with a blasting Rock and Roll - all the numbers of the older albums went down well but the newer material not so well - but overall the show was fantastic .The highlight being Dazed and confused guitar solo with the bow - magically eerie.
I thought they played the Ocean because Plant made reference to this being about the audience.

Managed to get a 10 shilling ticket on the door as I had queued for 4 hours outside. The concert was a sell out but they had 30 standing tickets at 10 bob each and I was one of the lucky ones. A truly unforgetable night !! I consider myself very lucky to have been there. The concert started late due to the band being delayed by a concrete block being placed on the railway line outside Oxford !. Would love to Know if this is true.

Robert's voice is still incredibly weak from the flu, but the band is definitely on, with Jones and Bonham shining through in this bass and drum heavy soundboard. Jimmy is incredible too, especially in Dazed And Confused, where he indulges in some exotic and strange sounding soloing in the fast section that sounds quite breathtaking amongst the bashing of the rhythm section. The instrumental machine is playing exceptionally which makes up for Robert's sickness. Whole Lotta Love was dedicated to road crew: "Any of our road managers that didn't get arrested in Sheffield. This really is a bit heathen for a Sunday night."

I thought the gig was delayed because of fans blocking george
street , and access was limited .
I do remember police and an police dog in the orchestra pit,
A fan also tried to shin up a metal drain pipe to get in through a window
on the circle level .
i still have my ticket stub £1.00
melody of Pants was to slip in heartbreak hotel and a reference to johhny ray bloody magic !!!!!!
