Another great 1972 US show! Plant commented previous night: "That was too much. That was really great!" and his voice is just wonderful and the band once again turns in an excellent performance. Robert's vocals are right up there, singing as high as on the album, and sometimes higher! The medley is great and Jimmy's playing throughout, but especially on Immigrant Song/Heartbreaker, and Since I've Been Loving You, is just mind-boggling. Rock And Roll caps the event after the great medley and Robert's voice is right up there!

I had the greatest job in the world for a 14 year old... I sold hot dogs at the Long Beach arena and my cheap ass boss was happy to have us work from the time the doors open to whatever time the concert actually began...and then clock out during the concert so she wouldn't have to pay us. Then we would "clock in" during intermission (in this case Bonham's drum solo during Moby Dick) and go work and then clock out for the night. Didn't make much money but the Arena employees all knew each other so they would let us (in our uniforms,) stand close to the stage and watch.

The Zeppelin concerts were the highlight of those years... and I still cherish those memories... and as my 12 year old son was so delighted to find out... I can still play Stairway to Heaven on the guitar.

Looking forward to the reunion tour... I'll be there with my kids!

A magical night. I do remember, though someome lit off a Roman Candle in the back of the building that shot across the roof of the auditorium and landed behind the stage.

I attended the concert in Long Beach when I was 17 years old with Dave Brannock, my first true love (I'll never forget you Dave. You'll always hold a special place in my heart.). I was mesmerized by Robert Plant's hair--it just seemed to glow. And the music . . . I knew every lyric to every song. It was a night I will never forget. If I could, I would love to go back and relive that night!

This was a very special show for me as it was my 20th birthday. I had gone to the Forum 2 nights before and was blown away at how good it was. In those days it was uncommon to go to multiple shows by the same group. The crowd was more respectful than at the Forum show, and I had better seats. I was so excited when "How the West Was Won" came out, but i wish they had just realeased both complete shows, mabey someday?

Yeah, I remember the Roman Candle through all the hazy memories of that night. It was a great shot, from the back right over the stage into the audience behind. Robert dedicated the next song to "the Freak in the back!"

I saw Zep 4 or 5 times. But LB was the first time I saw them. I still can't believe what I heard that night. They were totally on thier game the best concert ever. Totally amazing I never stop talking about it . I have been to deep purple, ten years after, elp, humble pie, yes, pink floyd, rush, bowie spiders from mars, utopia, alice cooper, these were all in the 70's and 100's more concerts through out  the 70's  80's 90s and 2000s. Still going. The long beach Zep show, was a once in a lifetime live performance.
