Newspaper Interview: Is the music of "Led Zeppelin" the endpoint of a development? Does this music still have these chances in one or two years, this success as today? These and other questions were addressed by the BOX employees Heike Gätjen and Emanuel Eckardt to those affected. The four airship boys, who in two concerts filled the music hall with rustic shouting and impressive solos, took a short cross-examination.

We still ask: What do you think of the audience in Hamburg?

LED ZEPPELIN: .. We do not understand. In Copenhagen, in Switzerland, people were going crazy when they heard us. In England and America anyway. But in Germany, especially in Hamburg, it was different. Presumably the hamburgers think too much about the music they are listening to instead of feeling it. "

BOX: "And how is that in America?"

LED ZEPPELIN: "We've found that the audience in the US gives each group a chance, even if it does not yet have a name. Decisive is the music. It is different in England and especially in Germany. That's where people come for the name.

BOX: "You're one of the long-haired musicians in England, would you follow the example of John Lennon and get yourself short-cut?" LED ZEPPELIN: (John Paul Jones): "Only when they bother your hair while eating." J

LED ZEPPELIN: "Rock'n Roll is a music that will never die, of course we do not know what it will look like in a hundred years, but Rock'n'Roll is a foundation of modern music that is indispensable."

BOX: "And you do not have the feeling that the music that you are doing now is going to be 'out'?"

LED ZEPPELIN: "It's the editors of the pop journals who claim that there's something 'in' or 'out', basically the music remains the same, it's only subject to fluctuations and movements."

BOX: "There are professionals who fear that you could part with yourself at the height of your career? Is this fear justified?"

LED ZEPPELIN:? We do not worry about that.

BOX: "How often do you work together?"

LED ZEPPELIN: "Virtually every night, we play together ten months a year - the rest is vacation and all." [3-11-70 interview  / translated from German]

A really good show in front of a light-hearted crowd. Robert's voice is very strong and Jimmy seems to be playing faster and better than he did even a month before. Some people behind the taper are joking and laughing very often making some funny comments between or during the songs. The How Many More Times medley is excellent and Robert really gets up there with his voice at the end.

I was born on this day and I am a friend of Led Zeppelin. I would have loved to see this concert, as I am a big LZ fan. Thanks for your summation of the night.
