Senior in high school. I took my girl (future wife) a sophomore to this show. Well, it was enlightening to say the least. The band was late; Apparently it was snowing in Hollywood; go figure. 1975... right. Anyway, we were both just mesmerized by the band, music, people, lights, vibes. Just fantastic. Stairway to Heaven indeed. Rainbows of light during the tune. Thanks to the band for playing that night. I will hope to remember until the ends.

I was at the concert. Don't remember if the 11th or 12th. I threw a scarf at plant and he tried to grab it but missed it. It was around the encore. Anyone have photos of either event. particularly at the encore? It would be great to see it that extraordinary moment when I made eye contact with plant. Thanks!

I was at this show, and if I remember right, Led Zeppelin did an encore of "Heartbreaker" which is not listed here. I also saw Zep the night before in San Diego, and there was no encore of "Heartbreaker".

life changing experience....

Near soundboard sound here ... amazing! The playing and singing are great here, but in some spots the band seems a little slow ... this is probably due to the fact that this is one of the worst crowds ever! The audience is dull, bored and seems half-asleep. "We must apologise for the slight delay, be we couldn't get into the building and we hadn't got any tickets! It's a fact. We saw a well known scalper, but we blew it ... and it was bllown!" stated Plant after Sick Again. This show has some amazing playing but the crowd seems more interested in sleeping than the crushing music. This seems unbelievable, to be lucky enough to see Led Zeppelin and to react in this way. Robert slams the crowd for their reactions, but in reality, this show is great, but the next night is even greater. He's also dedicated The Song Remains The Same to the bootleggers: "For the benefit of anyone who was making a bootleg then - the 12-string was out of tune!" After the last encore Plant added spontaneously: "Ladies and gentlemen of Long Beach ... sleep well! Half a Quaalude with water."

I caught Zeppelin's 3/10/75 show...it also changed my life. My view of music was forever changed by this show which became the "benchmark" by which I would rate all subsequent live musical experiences. When it came to live hard rock, no other band came close to comparing this performance (and i've been to hundreds of concerts since). I saw Zep twice more during their '77 L.A. Forum gigs (last two nights) and it was still stunning...but a far cry from the pomp and bombast of the San Diego show two years earlier. The mystique and ferocity of the band had waned dramatically in '77. Plant's accident and Page's increased heroin use were two factors...plus, by comparison, they were touring on the heels of "Presence" that year versus touring on the strength of "Physical Graffiti" in '75--need I say more? They peaked in '75...it was all downhill from there.

Anyway, it was a treat to hear someone else say a live '75 Zep performance was a life changing experience. It certainly was for me! I think I reflect on that night in March 1975 daily! No kidding...

Actually--Zep DID encore with "Heartbreaker" at the 3/10/75 show! It was not captured in the bootleg recording of that show, "Symphony in a Thousand Parts"...but I distinctly remember it. It was their second encore, with Page strutting out with a huge grin as he played the opening notes. Also, during the song, Plant was playing off a young woman who had taken her clothes off as she sat on the shoulders of a guy right up front by the stage. Further, as I exited the arena after the show's conclusion, I remember a guy humming "Heartbreaker"...because this was the last song of the evening.
I'm sure of it...I never forgot it. Thanks!

Wasn't at the concert but Dazed and Confused was absolutely incredible. Nothing but hard rock and blows my mind every time I hear it. There was no one like Jimmy Page and never will be.
