JIMMY WAS PLAYING FROM ANOTHER WORLD THAT NIGHT. MAN WHATA SHOW! I WAS STILL IN HS.TICKETS WERE SO CHEAP COMPARED TO TODAY.IVE SEEN THEM THROUGH THE YEARS AS SOLO PERFORMERS AND THE PAGE /PLANT SHOWS,IN 99 OR MAYBE 2000 AT THE VA. BEACH AMPETHETRE AND THEY STILL SOUNDED AWESOME.NO ONE TODAY HAS EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE TALENT THAT EACH ONE BROUGHT TO THE STAGE AND STUDIO.MY BAND FOREVER!!!!

I attended the second concert at what we called the "Cap Center" and it was absolutely awesome. After listening to Zep non-stop and hunting for tickets, the opening of "Song Remains the Same" was everything we expected. They blew the roof off. Bonham's drum solo was amazing and Page followed up with his own smokin' solo. Great stuff. Still the best concert I ever saw/experienced. Greatest rock band ever - bar none!

I was there 13 rows from the stage. Tickets were $10. Amazing show!!

I was stationed up that way with the Air Force in 1977. The way the Capital Centre's round roof was (intentionally) warped made it look very much like a squashed frisbee as you approached it. I have ticket stub section 3, row M, seat 8, $9.50, dated Thursday, May 26, 1977.

As I recall, Zep had no warm-up band, came out late, played 1 hour & 45 minutes, & walked off with no encore (the only band I EVER saw that didn't do an encore.)

On the other hand, it WAS a helluva show, with the green lasers kicking, & a memorably superb rendition of Whole Lotta Love (especially when Jimmy reached over his shoulder, fished a fiddle-bow out of his back pocket, & started sawing on that 3-necked guitar. The Battle Of Evermore was pretty sweet too, the 3rd neck on that guitar being the mandolin for that tune. Bonham beat the hell out of all his drums like he was on heavy drugs, as usual. Plant's voice seemed a bit past its prime, but in all fairness he HAD just screamed his guts out almost every night for the past week on that tour. JPJ played adequately enough, but he was seriously overshadowed by the other three. All-in-all, one HELLUVA show.

I've seen most of the Golden-Age Gods of R&R, and I can honestly say the only better show I ever saw was ELP.

This show set the standard for live performances I have been able to attend. Nothing has surpassed my concert experience on May 26, 1977 and the only thing to come close was March 15, 1995 Page/Plant show back in Landover.

Another strong accent. Since I've Been Loving You is very powerful, No Quarter an epic and Ten Years Gone is also excellent. A great, short, impromptu version of Dancing Days leads into Black Country Woman Moby Dick for drum solo fans is over 35 minutes long here! So sad Jimmy not goes deeper into Communication Breakdown but only teasing the audience with a riff.

I was there, just turned 16 in May, seats to the right of the stage, first section, it was a hell of a concert, party everywhere, awesome view, never sat down (that I remember) these guys are such a deep part of me, jus wish we could go back every now and again. Cont'd going to Plant & Page concerts too.

Wow, I was a senior in high school when I attended that show, do not remember a whole lot thru the haze of smoke, do recall people yelling at Bonzo to get off stage through the long solo, the first and only time I saw Zeppelin what a fantastic show and what a great trip down memory lane seeing the memorabilia.

"77 was my second time seeing the band. First time was in 72 when I was 12

That was my first concert ever. This show set the bar pretty high for every

concert I saw after that.
