The historic auditorium in University Hall is used primarily for conventions and conferences, with room for an audience of up to 1,800 people. In the same building are another six lecture halls for groups of between 32 and 200 people. In the faculty rooms, many kinds of receptions are often arranged in connection with conferences. The lobby entrance is used for serving refreshments. University Hall has a staff restaurant which can be used for serving lunches during smaller conferences. For larger ones, lunch can be arranged in nearby restaurants or student clubs. All of the centrally located hotels in Uppsala are within walking distance of University Hall.
