On this date, Led Zeppelin begin sessions at Olympic Studios in Barnes, London, for their second album, Led Zeppelin II with engineer George Chkiantz.

Tracks include: "Whole Lotta Love" (then titled "You Need Love"),  "What Is and What Should Never Be" (initially "But What Is and What Should Never Be"), "La La" . Tracks were rehearsed in March at Jimmy Page's Pangbourne home.

The recording dates at Olympic also include: April 10, 12, 14, and 19.
