LED ZEPPELIN'S 'HOUSES OF THE HOLY' SHIPS GOLD - PLANS FOR 1973 TOUR REVEALED

Dave Clew, Vice President in charge of Marketing at Atlantic Records announced this week that "Houses of the Holy", the new album from the English Rock group,

Led Zeppelin was shipped to retailers last week in response to a demand far in excess of sales necessary to qualify for a gold record. Additionally, it was revealed that the top-drawing band will also embark on their 1973 American Tour beginning on May 4.

"The demand for Zeppelin's new album has been absolutely fantastic," commented Glew. 'Every one of their LP's has been a gold record, and this one is already number five."

Led Zeppelin's 1973 tour will encompass 30 cities beginning May 4 in Atlanta, and will sweep across the Southern United States during May and June, returning via the Northern Border States in July and will culminate in New York on July 27 and 28.
