"Presence" album released
Notes

"Presence" released on this date in 1976.

------------------------------------------------------

Atlantic Promo – February 1976
Led Zeppelin / Presence / Swan Song SS 8416

Any Led Zeppelin album is assured of creating incredible story traffic, becoming platinum and number one within a few weeks, and dominating FM airwaves for considerably longer.

“PRESENCE” was recorded in Munich after Robert Plant’s car accident fractured his ankle and caused cancellation of their summer, 1975 tour. The songs were written and rehearsed in California, and they combine Plant’s most introspective and incisive lyrics to date – and continued evolution of Jimmy Page’s music. “Achilles Last Stand” is a brilliant and complex long track – an instant classic like Kashmir – filled with remarkable rhythm changes and emotion. “Tea For One” is the most searing blues that Zeppelin has ever done. Overall, the album is the most hard rock the group has released in some time and it will erase all doubts as to who actually is the biggest rock and roll group in the world.

Side One:  Achilles Last Stand, For Your Life, Royal Orleans
Side Two:  Nobody’s Fault But Mine, Candy Store Rock, Hots On For Nowhere, Tea for One.
