A truely memorable concert that I can remember to this day as clear as a bell! Two years after seeing them for the first time at the Bath Blues Festival in 1970! One thing that I cannot remember was which of the two dates I was at but remember that they did an extended show because the cops were outside waiting to challenge them about some drug problem? An awesome night and fantastic show place. Also saw Santana there. Happy Days. Pete

I was 12 when these two gigs happened, my elder brother went on the first night. The venue is now a B&Q outlet. I am a contractor who has cause to visit the place often. There is an old boy there who works there when it was the Hard Rock.
Listened to BBC6 shows Christmas day, first time I heard the whole lotta love medley since 1993 on the radio. Very nice to hear the unchopped version.

This was one of my first ever gigs, (I’d seen The Faces, & Status Quo) but nothing prepared for this! I had become a huge fan after a mate a school lent me Led Zepp II and I was hooked. We used to skip school and listen to Zeppelin four over and over again. I was 14 when I saw this gig, the one thing I remember very clearly is the band walking on stage, everyone standing up and then this wall of sound hit us and they played the opening into to Rock and Roll. Everyone appeared to cover their ears, it was so f…ing loud! It was a killer gig and to see Zepp in such a small venue was amazing. I do remember sitting in Maths the next day with a very load buzzing in my ears!

My sister cued for hours to get tickets to this gig, only to find when she got to the front booking fee was required walking away disheartened she bumped into a guy she once worked with but hardly knew and begged the extra pennys from him, and returned to buy the tickets !! The rest is history a moment in my life I will never forget I was 16 at the time and will never forget the image of jimmy page bowing his strings ! A life long fan of the greatest rock band the world has ever seen,

Like the first comment the thing I remember most was the sheer volume! It was awesome. My ears burned for days. It was a fantastic concert. No support. Nothing fancy, except the best band in the world - ever - at the top of their game. A bunch of us came to Manchester from down the road, just outside Cheste,r as it was the nearest gig. I'd queued for ages to get the tickets as soon as they came out. A callow 16 year old in the big city. Boy, was it worth it. They did all of their stuff from the previous 4 albums and I remember Percy teasing us about the fact that IV wasn't officially called that and that Houses of the Holy was just as good. The sit-down section was especially good as it was so different from the full on stuff. Exceptional.
