MY 1st concert, I was 13 years old.

I got pushed through the crowd and found myself and my friend Phillip were in the building with my ticket still in my hand. We rushed to the front and wound up in the 3rd or 4th row. AS SOON AS the show started, There was this guy with HUGE binoculars center stage 1st row. Page and Plant were smiling and laughing and pointing at him.
We were cracking up looking at this dude. 20 years later, I am at a party telling this story and this guy I had become friends with years after the concert, jumps up, and says, DUDE, that was me. GREAT MEMORIES.

Stairway to Heaven - Encore
March 23, 2010 10:49pm Daniel Jeffus
My first concert. The encore was their new song "Stairway to Heaven". Pot was heavy in the air and the crowd kept yelling at the police "pigs". I have a great photo of Robert Plant I took. I went down to the front of the stage and he posed for me.

first Zep show
July 16, 2008 11:53am Rick Rod
This was my first time seeing Zep and was an amazing show. My Uncle Henri' was an usher at the municipal auditorium at the time. Since this was general admission, he was taking tickets. We lined up early that morning at the entrance. we were right up front at the far right of 4 sets of doors. As the time advanced, this was one of the first times that the crowds seemed to come early and got very thick. We had to pass out quite a few girls over our heads before they passed out from the heat & the crush. As door opening got closer, the crowds surged. There were solid brass handrails at each door that were bent to the ground in the crush. I suddenly saw my Uncle henri' at the 3rd door on the inside lining up. I could not move and since he was letting me in for free (I had no ticket) I tapped on the window and waved to him. He swapped to my my door. then I made a huge mistake. He came up to my door and I whispered "Uncle Henri', open this door first" Well the chant started "Uncle Henri' open this door first!" As the chant started, so did the pushing. He opened out door first, and we rushed up to the first row center! Best seat ever! The stage seemed 10 feet tall and as the Immigrant Song exploded, I witnessed one of the best concerts I have ever attended.
