These two shows at London's Wembley Arena are named "Electric Magic" which featured circus performers, and included support acts such as Stone the Crowes. Nearly 10,000 tickets sell out within an hour - a second date is added.

Press review: The atmosphere almost leaps off the stage. Led Zeppelin performed Friday night and 9,000 of them put their hands above their heads and got their Saturday night rocks off.

There's a market set up inside the arena selling t-shirts and incense and a poster for only 30 pence. The weather is bitter outside but the audience is warmed up by opening act Stone the Crowes.  (Melody Maker, 11.27.71)

The band played at the end of a six hour circus-like evening with a 167 minute set... What the true essence of rock and roll is about:. (NME, 11.71)

Press Review clipping: There’s one thing that Zeppelin has always been good at and that’s giving their fans their money’s worth. At Wembley’s Empire Pool on Saturday – packed to the ceiling, they played for two-and-a-half hours – almost twice as long as other big named groups will stay on for. And they provided fans with a little circus entertainment.

There were Trapeze artists whizzing about and two performing pigs who didn’t. “But they were good in rehearsal”, said their trainer, prodding the luckless beasts.

Stone the Crowes and Maggie Bell got a much deserved ovation. Zeppelin played their hearts out with a selection of old and new – lots of acoustic things and lots of rock. Old favourites like Whole Lotta Love and Communication Breakdown causing near havoc. (Disc / 11.71)
