IN BRITISH MAG - MELODY MAKER ANNUAL READERS POLL
AWARDS INCLUDE: BAND OF THE YEAR AND BEST ALBUM

With a unprecendented demand being made by radio - "FOOL IN THE RAIN" - will be released as a single from Led Zeppelin's "In Through The Door" . Written by Led Zeppelin members, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, and produced by Jirnmy Page - the song will be sold in its unedited form.

This marks the first Led Zeppelin single in over 3 1/2 years.

Led Zeppelin, once again, come out on top as the winningest band in this year's Readers Poll in the British publication Melody Maker.

In addition to Band of the Year and Best Album, Zeppelinalso came away with:
Best Live Act
Best Male Singer - Robert Plant
Best Guitarist - Jirnmy Page
Top Producer - Jimmy Page
Top Composer - Led Zeppelin
Drummer John Bonham and Keyboardist/bassist John Paul Jones placed second in their respective categories.

The awards this year reflect the reaction of UK music fans to Led Zeppelin's long-awaited appearance at the Knebworth Festival this past August and the release of their new album, "In Through The Out Door". With Led Zeppelin closing out this year in royal form, they were also the most consistent award winners for the decade according to Melody Maker.
