Review excerpt: Zeppelin Grounded By Snow
A packed Colston Hall watched an empty stage for an hour last night when snow held up top pop group Led Zeppelin. The group had been travelling from Birmingham when heavy snow fell on roads near Gloucester.
When the four strode on stage at last, they were given a deafening ovation despite the delay. Because Led Zeppelin fans are fanatical, any solo by one of the band drew heavy applause and each song ended in a massive cheer.

Yeah, we had to wait a while and I remember Plant said they had thought about putting Bonhams hands in the deep fat frier to warm them up a bit. It was a great show.

I was there in the 'Choir Stalls'. The snow was bad and it was only half full. The band arrived late, and it was a miracle that they made it at all. Great to see them in such an intimate environment, but they tried to extend the set and make up for lost time and the management threatened to turn the power off. There was a short scuffle between the staff and (I think) their roadies, but the power went off just after 10pm. I would estimate less than 500 there. Anyone else remember more about that last part? It was hard to see from behind the stage.
