I was at the Leeds Uni gig in 1971 and I recall them also playing the Lemon Song although I can't recall if it was an encore or part of the main set

Great week in Leeds
March 24, 2008 10:56am JonN

I went school at Leeds Grammar which was right next to the university so got to see many gigs there. Tickets for Led Zep went on sale on the Sunday afternoon before the Tues show.

I spent about 2 hours in the queue and managed to get 2 tix with a borrowed student union card. Cost - 12 shillings and 6 pence each - great value. Watched the gig from my favorite spot at the back of the balcony- great view and the best sound for my little tinny cassette recorder. Taped most of the show but ran out of tape so had to turn the cassette over and wipe out the opening numbers ;-( Not really a worthwhile tape - but still good for bringing it all back home for me. Two days later I saw Jethro Tull at the Town Hall and then the Rolling Stones on Saturday back at the Union.

My best week in Leeds. Went back to Leeds uni recently with my daughter who was considering a course there. The refectory doesn't seem to have changed a jot !

i was at the leeds gig and can confirm they played the numbers listed. as we queued to go into the hall, the band arrived in two rolls royces which was very impressive to a 17year old. i was only a few feet from the stage and can remeber my ears ringing for 2 days.i seem to recall that it cost 65p to get it,money well spent.
