A night to remember - we hitch-hiked from North Wales to Brussels via a Sealink ferry starting out on the Thursday morning to get there arriving in Zeebrugge at 8am Friday - then the guy at the box office made us go to the bank to change our Belgian Francs as he would only accept French Francs for tickets. We got right close to the front and even managed to beg a Jimmy Page plectrum from the roadies at the end of the show. For some reason, a rousing rendition of Hot Dog stands out in the memory along with Achilles Last Stand and of course, Stairway to Heaven.
Overall, an incredibly moving and simply unforgettable experience.

Just became 16, my first big concert, and just the one of my all time favourites, Led Zeppelin. Coming from the countryside, the trip to Brussels(Vorst Nationaal) by train was already an new experience for my 4 best friends and myself. Than, entering that huge concert hall, and seeing Robert, Jimmy, John Paul and John playing an unforgettable show, too much overwhelming for a younster at that time. "In through the outdoor" was just released and we were all eager to see and hear our heroes on stage after that Zep radio silence that lasted so(too) long... But there they stood like old good Led Zeppelin and put the hall in fire. Everyone went wild, the concert was finished, lights went on and than we noticed that all chairs in our row were literally destroyed by jumping and dancing on them during 'Rock and Roll' and 'Whole Lotta Love'. Still have the concert ticket as a relic.

Concert June 20 1980 Brussels, was there as an 18 year old fan and now 30 years later I'm still a big fan. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands ever. Jimmy Page can play the guitar with a feeling that still touches me every time. Wish I could see them once more in my life !

A memorable night at 17!

Allthough very young (17) and after argueing with the parents (exam period) I managed to get a ticket and busride from the local youthclub (JK2470) to see this historical event.
No startup band, so after loud expectation shouting, made even more impressive when Led Zeppelin came on stage. No snake/dragon outfit, but just plane jeans and black/white suit. The show started a bit unexpected but after Black Dog the place lit fire and time flew by till the encore of Whole Lotta Love. Forever engraved in my memory are Trampled Underfoot, Since I've Been Loving You, Kashmir. Proud ever since to have been part of this concert, some months later the shocking news made clear this had been a once in a lifetime experience. Peter T.

I feel so lucky to have gotten to see Led Zeppelin at this concert. The highlights for me included Kashmir, Nobody's Fault but Mine, Achilles Last Stand, and Trampled Under Foot.
Other memorable aspects of the show: a lot of pushing in the crowd, prompting Robert Plant to say something like, "Our intention this evening is to have a good time ... so please, no pushing." John Paul Jones sported a close-cropped hairdo and looked studly. Page sat down and spoke a bit of French to introduce the Rain Song ("il s'appelle... il s'appelle... Rain Song!").

The concert was supposed to be June 5, and I and my friends got our tickets, only to find the show was postponed. We were able to exchange tickets at the same vendor, but it made us all feel even more doubtful that the dream of seeing them would come true. But it did.

I hope they tour - the concert at the O2 looked phenomenal.
