Zeppelin created more frenzy at the Forum than any group I’ve seen since the Stones’ appearance last year. At the end of the evening, hundreds had pushed their way into the aisles near the stage and thousands of others were standing in rhythm to the music.
The concert, which had been sold out for weeks, showed that Led Zeppelin is largely trying to recreate the sounds that have dominated English blues-rock in recent years.

WOW! I remember this concert. i went with a few friends. did not have a ticket. but i managed to sell some joints and came up with enough cash to buy a ticket from a local scalper. one of the best concerts i have seen. i remember jimmy page playing the guitar with a violin bow. before the concert they had stage announcements. about upcoming events. i remember hearing that jimi hendirx was going to be at the forum in April. when i heard this. i said to myself. i need to roll more joints because i am going to need the money to see jimi. but i never went. and jimi died in september of that year. Bummer.

Recently returned from Nam, all my friends were talking about the hot new group Led Zeppelin. All it took was hearing the way they layed down the classic blues songs like "Since I've Been Loving You" to make me a life long fan.
The concert at the Forum in LA on March 27, !970 was the only oppertunity I've had to see them live, but I've always said with pride that I was there and that it was the first official date with my wife of 32 years. I put this concert right up there with my attendance at the farewell performance of Cream tour and the 1967 tour of Pink Floyd.
If there is any hope in the world of getting tickets to the possible tour later this year or so, I'll for sure be trying my best. Congrats on the reunion on 12-10-08! Your in the love of great music, John Kayser

I saw this concert with a school friend who bought me a ticket because we both were crazy about LZ!! It was awesome!! I'm a drummer and JB changed my drumming forever! Sad loss of one of the very greats!!
l also saw Jimmy's last LA concert that you wrote about. He was great that night too. Sad loss there too.
